The city of Palaces, Mysore, in Karnataka is one of the most visited and beautiful places in the world. On December 01st 2010, I had been to Mysore along with my friend Mayukh Pal and we seriously had a great time. I went to my Mysore on my Hero Honda Karizma ZMR while he was on his Yamaha R15 and since it is the end of the year, the weather at Mysore was simply awesome. It was extremely chilled and the cool winds that blew on us were simply excellent.
I reached Bank Colony in Bengaluru, where my friend stays. From there, we went on through the shortcuts to reach Mysore Road. Then, we zoomed on to Mysore and were able to reach the city within 3 hours. We left Bengaluru by 7 am and reached Mysooru by 10 am. In between, we did stop at the 3rd Cafe Coffee Day outlet where we sipped on hot coffee to make ourselves a bit warm. My friend did have a smoke and probably he felt much more better. I, fortunately or unfortunately do not smoke 🙂
We reached Mysore and went straight to Mylari hotel where each of us had 5 Masala Dosas (Dosa with sagu and chutney) and coffee. We felt much relieved after filling in our stomach! We then went to Chamundi Hills and took some exclusive shots of the nature and the temple. We then roamed the nearby temples, museums, palaces and many more places.
We left Mysore by 4 pm and reached namma city Bengaluru by 8 pm, after struggling for hours in the rain and traffic near Kengeri and near Vijayanagar. We however did not forget to munch out some hot Burgers and Coke at McDonald’s on the Mysore-Bengaluru highway.
It was a really nice trip and the overall experience was simply excellent. I wish, visit the place again very soon !!
